Mason Striverson earns spot on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team

After the 2023-24 women’s basketball season, sophomore guard Kynidi Mason Striverson was named an Academic All-District selection by College Sports Communicators. This recognition came in addition to her impressive athletic accomplishments on the court. Throughout the season, she averaged 11.5 points per game and led UE in assists with 122 over 32 games.

But it’s not just her skills on the court that have earned her recognition. Mason Striverson has also excelled academically, with a 3.663 cumulative GPA as a business management major. She has earned a spot on the Dean’s List at the University of Evansville twice in her two years, demonstrating her commitment to both her sport and her studies.

To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must meet certain criteria, including being at least a sophomore with a 3.50 cumulative GPA and either playing in 90% of the team’s games or starting in 66% of the team’s games. Mason Striverson met these requirements and was one of only three Evansville players to play in all 32 games and the sole player to start in all of them.

Mason Striverson’s dedication to both her sport and her studies has earned her this prestigious recognition, highlighting her well-rounded achievements on and off the court.
