Ryder Logistics Evacuated as Troopers Investigate Suspicious Package in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania

Suspicious package in Lower Macungie prompts business evacuation and road closures; Allentown Bomb Squad called in for assistance | Lehigh Valley Regional News

On Monday, a suspicious package was reported at Ryder Logistics in the 8600 block of Congdonhill Drive in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania. The report of the suspicious package came at 1:30 p.m., according to Trooper Nathan Branosky. As a precaution, Ryder Logistics was evacuated and a stretch of Route 100 was closed.

Local roads, including Route 100 at Spring Creek Road, were shut down to prevent access to the area. Captain John Christopher from the Allentown Fire Department called out the Allentown Bomb Squad to assist with the investigation by state police. The bomb squad arrived just before 2 p.m. on Monday.
